Dear Frank,
I found a mistake in your records. My father-in-law, Hugo Nothmann, married Hedwig Chana Bielschowsky. His birthdate is correct, but he died a few months after his ninetieth birthday, in the spring of 1979 and not in 1969.
Debbie Nothmann

Hi Frank,
Hugo died on July 25, 1979, according to his death certificate. As far as any further information is concerned, I'll look in my files and see what else there is. What kind of information are you interested in? Generally speaking, we know very little about Hedwig or her family. My husband last saw her in 1938 or 1939, when he was sent to Switzerland to live, before she was sent to Gurs. After that, he got some letters (including one from Gurs). Nothing of course from Auschwitz. I don't remember when she was arrested; I will have to look that up.
My husband never knew her father, since he was born only in 1929. His middle name, Ludwig, was given him in memory of his maternal grandfather.
Debbie
